This is a 1987 black Stratocaster Plus that was introduced in 1987 as Fender’s top-of-the-line production model. Made prior to the Jeff Back and Eric Clapton Stratocasters, the design stemmed from the original prototypes of the Jeff Beck Signature model. It has several innovative, high-tech appointments designed for better intonation, tuning stability, and noise reduction. The build quality with this model Stratocaster is second to none.  

This beauty was brought in by the original owner who bought it new in '87 with the intent to learn to play, although he only put a handful of hours on the guitar. The ink on the Lace Sensors is untouched, and the plastic is still on the back cover. This guitar is a super score for anyone wanting a piece of Fender History in near new condition that plays beautifully.

• Neck: Maple, "C" Shape with the classic skunk stripe in rosewood. This guitar has a common ever so slight sinking with the lacquer from the 3rd to the 8th fret. It is minuscule, has zero effect on playability, and can easily be smoothed.

• Pickups: 3x Fender Lace Sensor Gold Single-Coil Pickups (which featured a noiseless design)
